RainLoop Webmail is a lightweight, modern webmail client with a simple interface and powerful features. It supports IMAP and SMTP, multiple accounts, and plugins. With Softaculous, you can install RainLoop quickly and easily through cPanel.

Steps to Install RainLoop Webmail

Log in to cPanel.

Navigate to the Softaculous Apps Installer section.

Search for RainLoop.
-
In the Softaculous dashboard, type RainLoop in the search box.

Or browse under Mails → RainLoop Webmail.

Click Install.

The installation page will open.

Choose Protocol.

Select
https://orhttps://wwwif your site has an SSL certificate. -
Select
http://orhttp://wwwif SSL is not installed. -
⚠️ Important: Because RainLoop handles login credentials, always use SSL connections.

Choose Domain.
-
Select the domain where RainLoop will be installed.

Set Directory.

Leave blank if you want RainLoop installed at the root (e.g.,
example.com). -
Enter a folder name (e.g.,
mail) if you want RainLoop installed atexample.com/mail.

Configure Admin Account.

Admin Username → Choose a unique username.

Admin Password → Use a strong password (Softaculous provides a strength meter or can generate one).

Admin Email → Enter the administrator’s email address.

Database Settings.
-
Provide a database name or accept the default.

Configure table prefix if needed.

Advanced Options (Optional).

Configure automated backups and rotation.
-
Enable email notifications for updates.

Choose auto‑upgrade options for RainLoop.

Install.
-
Review settings and click Install.

Wait for confirmation. Softaculous will display the RainLoop login URL (e.g.,
example.com/mail).
