Nibbleblog is a fast, streamlined blogging application designed exclusively for creating blogs. While Softaculous can automate installation, you may sometimes need to install it manually — for example, if you want a specific version or are working on an unmanaged server.

Why Install Nibbleblog Manually?

  • Greater control over version selection.

  • Works on unmanaged servers without cPanel/Softaculous.

  • Lightweight and optimized for blogging.

Steps to Install Nibbleblog Manually

  1. Download Nibbleblog.

  2. Extract Files.

    • Unzip the downloaded package locally.

    • The extracted folder will be named something like nibbleblog-v4.0.5.

  3. Upload Files to Your Hosting Account.

    • Use FTP or File Manager in cPanel to upload the contents of the extracted folder.

    • Place them in the public_html directory if you want Nibbleblog at the root (e.g., example.com).

    • Alternatively, upload to a subdirectory (e.g., example.com/blog).

  4. Run the Installer.

    • In your browser, go to the installation URL:

      • If installed in root → http://example.com

      • If installed in a subdirectory → http://example.com/blog

    • The Welcome to Nibbleblog page will appear.

  5. Configure Blog Settings.

    • Select your preferred language.

    • Enter a Blog Title (appears in the browser title bar).

    • Enter a Blog Slogan (appears alongside the title).

    • Create an Administrator Username and Password.

    • Enter the Administrator Email Address.

  6. Complete Installation.

    • Click Install.

    • The Installation Complete page will appear.

    • Use the provided URLs to visit your site or log in to the admin panel.
