Restoring your data using Dropmysite
Learn how to restore your data using the Dropmysite cPanel plugin. You can restore website, e-mail, and database backups quickly and easily.
This guide explains how to restore the following:

Website backups
To restore a website backup using Dropmysite:

Log in to cPanel.

On the Tools page under Software, click Dropmysite.

In the Dropmysite dashboard, under Websites, locate the backup to restore and click Restore Files.

On the Restore Files page, select the backup date from the Date list.

Choose files to restore:

Specific files: check the boxes next to the files you want to restore.

All files: check Select All.

Click Restore Files.

On the Create Restore page, check By checking this box, I agree to replace any existing files selected with this restore.

Click Restore to complete the process.
Database backups
To restore a database backup:

Log in to cPanel.

Click Dropmysite under Software.

In the dashboard, under Databases, locate the backup and click Restore Database.

Ensure the database exists and has a database user with the same name used when the backup was created.

Select the backup date from the Backup date list.

On the Create Restore page, check By checking this box, I agree to overwrite the existing database with this restore.

Click Restore.
E-mail backups
To restore an e-mail backup:

Log in to cPanel.

Click Dropmysite under Software.

In the dashboard, under Emails, locate the backup and click Restore Emails.

Select the backup date from the Date list.

Choose files to restore:

Specific files: check the boxes next to the files to restore.

All files: check Select All.

To restore a specific e-mail message, identify the IMAP folder it is in (such as
cur,new, ortmp). -
Click Restore Files.

On the Create Restore page, check By checking this box, I agree to replace any existing emails selected with this restore.

Click Restore.
