Using the cPanel Home Screen

The cPanel home screen is your central hub for managing your Ruachost hosting account. From here, you can view account status information and access all the tools you need to manage your website, email, databases, and security.

Viewing Status Information

When you log in to cPanel, the right-hand column displays key account details:

• General Information

  • Shows your username, primary domain, and other account basics.

  • Click Server Information for details such as:

    • Server hostname

    • IP address

    • Software versions (Apache, PHP, MySQL, cPanel version)

• Statistics

  • Displays your account’s resource usage, including:

    • Disk space

    • Bandwidth transfer

    • Email accounts

    • CPU and memory usage

This helps you monitor your hosting plan’s limits and performance.

Accessing cPanel Features

There are two main ways to find and use features on the home screen:

1. Browse by Section

   • Features are grouped into categories such as:

     • Files (File Manager, Backups, FTP Accounts)

     • Databases (MySQL, phpMyAdmin)

     • Domains (Addon Domains, Subdomains, Redirects)

     • Email (Email Accounts, Forwarders, Autoresponders)

     • Security (SSL/TLS, IP Blocker, Hotlink Protection)

     • Software (PHP Selector, Softaculous App Installer)

     • Preferences (Password & Security, Contact Info, Language)

   • Example: To change your password, go to Preferences → Password & Security.

2. Search Tools

   • Use the Search bar at the top of the home screen.

   • Start typing the feature name (e.g., “pass”), and matching tools appear instantly.
