If you want to transfer your domain then the EPP Code or Auth Code or transfer key (which is the domain authorization code) is a necessity. It's a safeguard against unauthorized domain transfers., the domain registrar assigns every domain with a distinct/unique code i.e. every domain has it's unique code as an identity.
