Mantis Bug Tracker (MantisBT) is an open‑source issue tracking system designed to help teams manage software bugs and project tasks. With Softaculous, you can install MantisBT quickly and easily through cPanel.

Steps to Install Mantis Bug Tracker

Log in to cPanel.

Navigate to the Softaculous Apps Installer section.

Search for Mantis.
-
In the Softaculous dashboard, type Mantis in the search box.

Or browse under Project Management → Mantis Bug Tracker.

Click Install.

The installation page will open.

Choose Protocol.

Select
https://orhttps://wwwif your site has an SSL certificate. -
Select
http://orhttp://wwwif SSL is not installed.

Choose Domain.

Select the domain where Mantis will be installed.

Set Directory.

Leave blank if you want Mantis installed at the root (e.g.,
example.com). -
Enter a folder name (e.g.,
bugs) if you want Mantis installed atexample.com/bugs.

Configure Site Settings.

Site Name → Enter the title of your bug tracker.

Admin Username → Choose a unique username.

Admin Password → Use a strong password (Softaculous provides a strength meter or can generate one).

Admin Email → Enter the administrator’s email address.

Real Name → Enter the display name for the administrator.

Database Settings.
-
Provide a database name or accept the default.

Configure table prefix if needed.

Advanced Options (Optional).

Configure automated backups and rotation.
-
Enable email notifications for updates.

Choose auto‑upgrade options for MantisBT.

Install.
-
Review settings and click Install.

Wait for confirmation. Softaculous will display the MantisBT login URL (e.g.,
example.com/bugs).
