Steps to Install MemHT Manually

  1. Download MemHT.

    • Visit the official MemHT download page.

    • Save the latest .rar package to your computer.

  2. Extract Files.

    • Unzip the downloaded .rar file locally.

    • The extracted folder will be named something like MemHT_5.0.0.9_RC.

  3. Upload Files to Your Hosting Account.

    • Use FTP or File Manager in cPanel to upload the contents of the extracted folder.

    • Place them in the public_html directory if you want MemHT at the root (e.g., example.com).

    • Alternatively, upload to a subdirectory (e.g., example.com/memht).

  4. Create a MySQL Database and User.

    • Create a database and user, then assign full privileges.

  5. Run the Installer.

    • In your browser, go to the installation URL:

    • The MemHT installation page will appear.

    • Accept the license agreement and requirements check.

  6. Configure Database Settings.

    • Enter the database details you created:

      • Hostlocalhost

      • Username → database user you created

      • Password → database password

      • Database Name → database name you created

    • Choose a table prefix (default: memht).

  7. Create Administrator Account.

    • Enter a Display Name, Username, Password, and Email Address.

    • This will be your login for the MemHT dashboard.

  8. Finalize Installation.

    • MemHT will create the database structure and finish setup.

    • For security, delete the /installation folder from your public_html directory:

      rm -rf ~/public_html/installation
      
  9. Log In.

    • Visit your domain (e.g., http://example.com).

    • Log in with the admin credentials you created.

    • You can now configure modules, themes, and start publishing content.

  • MemHT is compatible with all ruachost.com accounts.

  • Always use strong admin and database passwords.

  • Keep MemHT updated to prevent vulnerabilities.
