A subdomain is an extension of your main domain that can be used to host a separate website. For example, if your domain is example.com, a subdomain could be blog.example.com. On ruachost.com, you can install WordPress on a subdomain using cPanel and Softaculous.

Step‑by‑Step Installation
1. Create the Subdomain

Log in to cPanel at ruachost.com.

In the Domains section, click Subdomains.

Enter the desired subdomain name (e.g.,
blog). -
Select the parent domain (e.g.,
example.com). -
The Document Root will be created automatically (e.g.,
/public_html/blog). -
Click Create.
✅ Your subdomain is now active.
2. Install WordPress via Softaculous

In cPanel, go to Softaculous Apps Installer.

Click WordPress.

Click Install Now.

Under Choose Installation URL:

Select the subdomain you just created (e.g.,
blog.example.com). -
Leave the “In Directory” field blank to install WordPress in the subdomain root.

Enter site details (site name, description, admin username, password, and email).

Choose language and optional plugins.

Click Install.
✅ WordPress will be installed on your subdomain.
3. Access Your Subdomain Site

Visit your subdomain in a browser (e.g.,
blog.example.com). -
Log in to the WordPress dashboard at:
blog.example.com/wp-admin
