By default, the WordPress Classic Editor does not provide options to change font styles or sizes. However, you can enable these features by installing the Advanced Editor Tools plugin. On ruachost.com, this allows you to customize text formatting directly in the editor.

Why Change Fonts?

  • Improve readability and accessibility.

  • Match your site’s branding and design.

  • Highlight headings, quotes, or important content.

  • Create a more professional look for blog posts and pages.

Steps to Enable Font Options in Classic Editor

  1. Log in to WordPress with an administrator account.

  2. In the dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New.

  3. Search for Advanced Editor Tools (TinyMCE Advanced).

  4. Click Install Now, then Activate.

  5. Go to Settings → Advanced Editor Tools.

  6. Drag and drop the Font Sizes and Font Family options into the Classic Editor toolbar.

  7. Save changes.

  8. Open the Classic Editor → You’ll now see font style and size options available.

✅ You can now change fonts directly while editing posts or pages.

Important Notes

  • Always back up your site before installing new plugins.

  • Font changes apply only to content created in the Classic Editor.

  • For site‑wide font changes, use CSS or theme customization instead.

  • Excessive font variation may reduce readability, use sparingly.
