How To Create Email Accounts in cPanel Webmail

Creating email accounts in cPanel's webmail interface is a straightforward process. cPanel is a popular web hosting control panel that allows users to manage their web hosting services easily. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create email accounts using cPanel webmail:

1. Log in to cPanel:

   • Navigate to your cPanel login page (usually accessible via https://yourdomain.com/cpanel).
   • Enter your cPanel username and password to log in.
     
     

2. Access the Email Accounts Interface:

   • Once logged in, look for the Email section.
   • Click on Email Accounts. This will take you to the interface where you can manage email accounts.
     
     

3. Create a New Email Account:

   • Click the Create button.
   • A new interface will appear with account creation settings and your account’s quota status.
   • Follow these steps within the interface:
     • Username: Enter a new email address (e.g., info@yourdomain.com). Note that you cannot use “cpanel” as an account name.
     • Domain: Select the domain on which you want to create the email account (if you have multiple domains).
     • Password: Set a secure password for the email account. Ensure it contains uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
       • You can either set the password manually or click Generate to let the system create a secure password for you.
       • Some hosting providers may have minimum password strength requirements.
     • Optional Settings: You can choose to send a login link to an alternate email address (if available).
     • Check the Stay on this page after I click Create checkbox if you want to create another email account immediately.
     • Finally, click Create to create the account.
       
       

4. Manage Your New Email Account:

   • Congratulations! You’ve successfully created an email account.
   • To manage your new account, explore the various options available in the Email Accountsinterface.
     
     

Remember that once an email account is created, you cannot rename it or change its address. However, you can set up email forwarding using cPanel’s Forwarders interface if needed.
