Managing WebHost Manager packages

In WebHost Manager (WHM), packages are predefined sets of hosting account limits and features. They allow resellers, VPS, and dedicated server owners to quickly create and manage cPanel accounts with consistent resource allocations.

Why Use Packages?

• Save time by applying standard account settings.

• Ensure consistency across multiple hosting accounts.

• Easily adjust resources by modifying a package instead of editing each account individually.

• Simplify account creation for resellers and administrators.

Creating a Package

1. Log in to WHM.

2. In the left sidebar, search for Add a Package.

3. Enter a Package Name (e.g., Basic, Premium).

4. Configure resource limits:

   • Disk Quota (MB) → Maximum storage space.

   • Monthly Bandwidth (MB) → Data transfer limit.

   • Max FTP Accounts → Number of FTP users.

   • Max Email Accounts → Number of email addresses.

   • Max Databases → Number of MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.

   • Max Subdomains, Parked Domains, Addon Domains → Domain limits.

5. Configure settings:

   • cPanel Theme → Choose the interface style.

   • Locale → Select the language.

   • Feature List → Define which cPanel features are available.

6. Click Add to save the package.

Editing a Package

1. In WHM, search for Edit a Package.

2. Select the package you want to modify.

3. Adjust resource limits or features.

4. Click Save Changes. Any accounts assigned to this package will automatically inherit the updated settings.

Deleting a Package

1. In WHM, search for Delete a Package.

2. Select the package you want to remove.

3. Click Delete. ⚠️ Accounts already using the package will remain active, but you cannot assign new accounts to a deleted package.
