Using the WHM Feature Manager

The Feature Manager in WebHost Manager (WHM) allows you to control which features appear in your customers’ cPanel accounts. By creating and assigning feature lists, you can customize the tools available to each hosting package.

Why Use the Feature Manager?

• Provide tailored access to cPanel features based on hosting plans.

• Hide advanced tools from beginner customers to simplify their experience.

• Ensure consistency across accounts by linking packages to feature lists.

• Improve security by disabling features customers don’t need.

Creating a Feature List

1. Log in to WHM.

2. In the search box (top left), type package.

3. Under Packages, click Feature Manager.

4. Under Add a New Feature List, enter a name (e.g., Basic, Advanced).

5. Click Add Feature List.

6. A list of available features appears.

7. Select the checkboxes for features you want to include.

8. Click Save. You can now assign this feature list to hosting packages.

Adding a Feature List to a Package

1. In WHM, search for Edit a Package.

2. Select the package you want to edit.

3. Under Settings, locate the Feature List dropdown.

4. Choose the feature list you created.

5. Click Save Changes. Accounts using this package will now only display the selected features.

Editing a Feature List

1. In WHM, search for Feature Manager.

2. Under Manage Feature List, select the list you want to edit.

3. Click Edit.

4. Adjust the features by checking or unchecking boxes.

5. Click Save.

Deleting a Feature List

1. In WHM, search for Feature Manager.

2. Under Manage Feature List, select the list you want to delete.

3. Click Delete. The list is removed immediately.
