Shared Hosting Quick Start Guide

Learn how to quickly and easily set up and manage your ruachost.com Shared Hosting account.

Getting Started

Congratulations and welcome to ruachost.com!
Thank you for choosing our Shared Hosting service. This guide will walk you through the first steps to configure and manage your new hosting account with ease.

Client Area

Once your Shared Hosting plan is activated, you’ll receive a Welcome Email containing the details needed to access your account through the ruachost.com Client Area.

Within the Hosting Panel, you can view important account information such as:

  • Your username

  • Nameserver details

  • Server name assigned to your account

  • Account IP address

  • Primary domain name

For more details on how to use your Hosting Panel, please refer to the related article in our Knowledge Base.

Configuring Name Server Settings

To make your website accessible online, your domain name (for example, example.com) must be connected to ruachost.com’s name servers.

You can find instructions on how to update your domain’s nameservers in our related guide.

Managing Your Website

How you manage your website depends on the type of hosting interface your account includes:

  • cPanel:
Accounts with cPanel allow you to manage all website and email features from one central dashboard. For login instructions and more details, see our article on accessing cPanel.

  • Client Area:
Some of our newer plans include direct management through the ruachost.com Client Area, so no separate cPanel login is required. Simply log in to your account at ruachost and manage your website from there.

Accessing Your Account

You can connect to your hosting account using several methods, such as SSH (Secure Shell) or FTP (File Transfer Protocol).
Detailed instructions on how to access your files and directories are available in our Knowledge Base.

Setting Up Email

Email is a key part of your hosting service, and we’ve made it simple to manage:

  • cPanel Users:
To create and manage email accounts for your domain, follow the step-by-step instructions in our cPanel email setup guide.

Publishing Your Website

To make your website live, upload your files to the public_html directory of your hosting account.
Files placed in this directory (or its subfolders) will be publicly visible on the web. Files stored elsewhere will remain private.

If you are migrating your website from another hosting provider, you can move your existing data to ruachost.com by following our migration guides available in the Knowledge Base.
