Ordering an SSL Certificate

An SSL certificate secures your website by encrypting data between the server and visitors.

Why Order an SSL Certificate?

• Protect sensitive data (logins, payments, personal info).

• Improve customer trust with the padlock icon in browsers.

• Boost SEO rankings (Google favors HTTPS sites).

• Prevent “Not Secure” warnings in browsers.

Steps to Order an SSL Certificate

1. Log in to the Ruachost Client Area

   • Go to Login - Ruachost.

   • Enter your account credentials.

2. Place a New Order

   • At the top menu, click Domains → SSL Certificates.

   • Select the type of SSL certificate you want:

     • DV (Domain Validation) → Quick, verifies domain ownership.

     • OV (Organization Validation) → Verifies domain + business identity.

     • EV (Extended Validation) → Highest trust, verifies domain + business + legal details.

   • (Optional) Choose a Wildcard SSL to secure multiple subdomains.

   • Click Get Started.

3. Configure the Certificate

   • Review the product configuration page.

   • Click Confirm and Proceed.

4. Checkout

   • Select a payment method.

   • Click Place Order and Pay.

   • Once complete, click Go to My Account to view the order.

Generating the SSL Certificate

1. In the Hosting Panel, go to Products & Services → All Products.

2. Locate the SSL certificate you ordered.

3. Click Manage.

4. Under SSL Certificate Setup, provide:

   • Domain name

   • Email address

   • Business/organization details (for OV/EV certificates)

5. By default, Ruachost generates a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) automatically.

   • Alternatively, you can paste a CSR you generated yourself.

6. Click Submit.

7. Validate your domain (via email or DNS).

8. Once validated, your SSL certificate and private key will appear in the panel.
